Christmas Parade

Angel dressed and ready for the Christmas parade!
These were the best photos I could get. She looked so cute and let me put this outfit on her without any problems!

My Choir sang for the Christmas parade in Petersburg this morning. I took Alex and Angel along. Alex was happy to throw out candy canes and sing with the big kids. The students just loved helping Alex while I walked along side the float with Angel. We stopped on the way to get Angel something warm to wear because she hates the cold! She handled everything very well and actually loved all the attention from the students. She has come along way with strangers. She walked proudly in the parade along side of me. A lot of folks pointed and yelled what a cute dog I had! She was in several photos! We just love Angel and she has just made such a wonderful addition to our family. She has come along way in a few months with us and trusting others. We give anyone who comes to our house a treat and she is their best bud in minutes. We enjoy having her! Although she is "my dog" she loves Alex too. He loves her and gets a little upset when she pays me more attention then him. She loves to lick him though, and does follow him around. He giggles when she gets in bed with him in the morning to wake him up. I can't wake him up without him being cranky, so I put her in bed with him and she licks him. He loves that! He wakes up so much better when it is Angel not me telling him to get up!

Alex was being shy here in the preview, but he did an excellent job while in the parade with the chorus!! It was precious seeing him sing along with the big kids! I think he loved throwing the candy canes more though.

Da Plane

Okay, so I told you in an earlier post that the field in front of our house is a landing field for a small plane. The owner was teaching someone to take off and land, so I finally caught this on film!! I used the new flip ultra digital camcorder that we got for free!!! Just for signing up for the bundle plan with Verizon. We have our phone, internet and direct TV through the plan. They sent us our free camera the other day and it is super cool!! Now I can record video and audio at the same time!! I'm moving up in the technology world. So far this thing is really cool. It will film 120 minutes of video. It downloads super easy to my laptop because of the USB built right in. It also has a chord that you can hook right to the TV to view video. I looked up the price of the model they sent us and it is valued at $229! Yay to Verizon! Anyway, you probably think I'm crazy for going on about this, but I just love technology!

video

As you can tell, my son and the dog think I'm crazy too. They both ran from me!

Here it is again landing right from the front yard. We are just so excited there will not be any houses built in the field! I guess we just have to worry about the plane landing on our house. Hopefully the person flying knows what they are doing!!! video

Pumpkin Guts

My son does NOT like to get his hands messy with pumpkin guts.....he totally took after his dad on this one.... so he is wearing a plastic glove. Look how Angel thinks this is food and is watching to make sure he doesn't drop anything....She didn't like pumpkin guts either.

WVU Homecoming Weekend

We were in Morgantown this past weekend for WVU Homecoming. For the 3rd year now I've marched with the Alumni Band. While Alex spent the day with grammy and pap, Bob and I went to rehearsal, the game and then to Fright Farm. I did all this last year and really wanted Bob to go this year, so I'm thankful there were no other really big games on. He came with me and was my little personal photographer for the rehearsal. I just love catching up old friends from college. Here are a few shots from the trip. I didn't get many at the Fright Farm, but check out my facebook if you would like to see some that I am tagged in.

On the way to Morgantown Friday night, we stopped in Oakland and had dinner at UNO'S. DELICIOUS I might add! On the way we saw this very huge, very pretty Rainbow. I felt like we were driving right through it!
Bob on the football field during warm-ups. He ended up staying on the field the whole game. He just blended in while watching the game from the endzone. He even used the bathroom for the ESPN reporters. No one said a thing to him. He would have moved to the stands with me if he had to, but this was heaven for this football nut! I can't believe he stayed, but I know he will never forget the experience. He took a million pictures and got to see some very close up plays and touchdowns! On the way home, we had to stop at Walmart so he could print them out for the guys at work to see.

Me at practice, not quite awake. We warmed up in the shell building and then moved out into the rainy weather. I bought this crappy poncho for a $1 and it was more like a trash bag. Oh well, makes for some fun memories!
With the crew. Every year I march with these guys!

One year I will take the time to really memorize every note! I can't believe that it has been 11 years since I was last in the band. Seems so crazy!

Before the game, Bob and I went into the training facility building. We watched the team warm-up inside and out. There were glass windows so you could see the team getting ready. We also toured the trophy case of past bowl wins and the Hall of Fame wall. Here is Bob posing with all of the Raider's players who were once Mountaineers!

We took a candid. Dorks I know, but you have to have a few of these.

Happy Birthday Alex!

My baby boy turned 4 on Saturday. I can't believe he is already 4. We celebrated by having a fall carnival bash. We had a Castle Bounce, spider ring toss, duck pond, monster mash musical chairs, ghostly darts, and of course prizes. I was also happy that the homemade Carmel apples also turned out so well! A big thanks to all the family and friends who traveled and helped with the party! We had 3 states represented at the party (WV, MD and PA). One of the coolest things was the balloon master (Uncle Jerry) and face painter (Friend Melissa). Everyone really pitched in to make this a fantastic celebration! Alex was so happy to see his old buds from daycare that had moved on to preschool already! He had a total blast! I'm so glad that grandma Jennifer took pictures, because I was way too busy running around with the kids. Here are some shots from the party!
Alex is the one in the Storm Trooper outfit!
Uncle Jerry, the balloon master! We were all amazed by his talent!
Alex was in awe...
The party hat and sword.
Grammy helping with the Carmel apples.

I think we were getting ready to play Pin the nose on the pumpkin.

Bob being all cool. Melissa in the back ground looking cool! She did an excellent job with the face painting!

The guys and the grill.I got the plastic hand bags at the dollar tree, put candy corn in the finger tips and filled with popcorn. I got this idea from a Halloween treat book. The Castle Bounce! Best Walmart buy....only $44 and mailed directly to our house!Every year I make Alex a cake. He picked the pan out this year and it was the most challenging so far. Not the greatest, but I try. I have a picture of every year so far.....Cookie Monster, Thomas the Train, and Spiderman were all past cakes. .
