Alex and I had a fantastic weekend at Grammy and Paps house! On Friday we celebrated at Rio Grande for Grammy's birthday. Verna and Jerry joined us too! We ate a very delicious meal and then we topped it off with a very delicious German Chocolate cake!
(Bob didn't get to go with us because he had some overtime this weekend. Poor thing ended up with a major tooth ache! He will need a Root Canal.... : ( The dentist had told him once he started having trouble with it then he would need one....ouch!! )
On Saturday we went to Barnes and Noble books so that Alex could play with the Thomas trains and then met up with my good friend Dana. We all met up with Verna, Donna and Boone at the Bubble Tea Place and then on to the Wow Factory. If you have never been there, you need to go! It is a paint your own pottery place and they also have glass etchings and mosaics. Mom made a cute mosaic frame and Alex painted a Dinosaur. He had just studied them all week at Daycare. He really loved painting and I was surprised that he sat so long to paint. After he was done he went into the kids play room. On Sunday we went sledding. My legs are soooo sore from climbing the long hill pulling Alex in the sled. He also walked up the hill and I was amazed at how much energy he had! He loved sledding!! Avery and Chad came over and we went sledding again later in the day. Alex raced Avery down the hill, got in a snowball fight and made more snow angels. We finally headed home about 4:30 and Alex was asleep about an hour into the trip. We couldn't even wake him long enough to get his bath and put PJ's on. Luckily I'd put his fleece pants and Steeler's Jersey on before we got in the car. He slept all through the night until we had to go to school this morning. We had so much fun and he asked when we were going back to Grammys next!
