We are back to school!! It is hard to believe, but the summer is over and we have started school. Alex is in first grade this year and LOVES his teacher. A couple of his best buds from kindergarten are in his class so he is very excited. At the end of the day, he gets to stay and help pick up chairs and sharpen pencils and he feels so proud of himself!! Last week he was feeling a little scared to go back. After his back to school haircut, a fo-hawk, then he was ready!! A "fo-hawk" is like a mo-hawk without shaving the sides. He can wear it spiked or down and it looks good. He got up bright and early on the first day and we were at school a 1/2 hour before we needed to be. He met up with his buds in the cafeteria and he was fine. He did have some fear right at first as we got there, but when he saw his buddy Reilly, then he was fine and all smiles!! The first 2 days were a success and he had homework already!! He wanted to do his homework right away on Friday night! He is ready for the week. Looking forward to a great year!
I got the idea to have him hold a picture of his previous start to school from pinterest. I wonder what this will look like when he is a senior?
It was so early that the car still had the dew on it. Alex didn't know what that was.....lol.
He asked me to take this picture of him being excited to go to school! Silly guy!
